John Delaney Bergin was a pioneering settler of Ferny Grove, Bunya and Samford. JD Bergin purchased land at Upper Kedron in 1865. By 1871 he had large holdings at Bunya and was at Samford Station or Run in 1878. John and Jane’s tenth child was born at Samford Station with local lady Mrs Coonan attending.
